Prof. DONG Yuhui, Researcher and Deputy Director of the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), serves as Executive Deputy Director of the High Energy Photon Source (HEPS), Director of the Synchrotron Radiation Professional Committee, and Council Member of the Chinese Physical Society.

His research focuses on protein structure-function relationships via integrated synchrotron radiation approaches. He pioneered an iterative phasing method for de novo protein structure determination without anomalous scattering or isomorphous replacement, led the development of the macromolecular crystallography beamline at BSRF, and received the Second Prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award. He oversees the definition of HEPS scientific goals and the construction and technological R&D of HEPS beamlines.
